At some point Neloth will be mumbling about collecting staffs, especially those made by Azra Nightwielder. Should the Dragonborn ask, one could be retrieved from a dungeon in Skyrim.
Get the staff[ | ]
Travel to Solstheim, visit the dungeon there, and retrieve the staff in question.
E.g. this might be in Duskglow Crevice and the staff could be Azra's Staff of Paralysis.
Talk to Neloth[ | ]
Back with Neloth, he gladly adds the special staff to his collection rewarding the Dragonborn with one of his own.
