Walkthrough[ | ]
Outside Hillgrund's Tomb, the Dragonborn meets a Nord warrior named Golldir who asks for help ridding the tomb of a warlock, Vals Veran who has been defiling it. Golldir also mentions that his aunt has already gone in to try to apprehend the mage, but has not come back.
Defeat Vals Veran[ | ]
If the Dragonborn agrees to help it is time to enter the tomb and hunt down the necromancer and hopefully rescue Golldir's aunt.
(Optional) Protect Golldir[ | ]
Golldir will follow and depending on circumstances, can be killed so it takes a bit of extra vigilance to keep him alive.
Find the Secret Passage in Hillgrund's Tomb[ | ]
Since the main path door is blocked, continue through the door on the right. This leads to a room with several animal plates. Golldir hints that Agna told him that the bear will guide his path. And next to the bear plate there is indeed a ringed chain switch that opens up the secret passage. Follow the passage and kill Veran.
Speak with Golldir[ | ]
If Golldir survives, he will offer the Dragonborn a reward, Hillgrund's Chest Key, and his services as a follower.
