J'zargo is a student at the College of Winterhold. He is very competitive and is happy that the Dragonborn has arrived at the college because he believes that only the Dragonborn is good enough to keep up with him.
If the Dragonborn helps with his experiment, after the events of Under Saarthal, he agrees to become a follower. When he accompanies the Dragonborn, he will use shock spells, and when sneaking, he will fall back on his bow.
His room is on the lower level of the Hall of Attainment, in the northern cell.
J'zargo can also be recruited into the Blades.
